Hi,

If you mean bruteforcing Internet password stored in Names.nsf, it could be
done by some automated HTTP bruteforcing tools without lockout. By default,
Domino will not lock any users logon fails. While username / user id easily
to guess. I have tried AppDetective from Application Security. This tool
quite great, and also has feature to bruteforcing domino Internet password.

I see about a year ago in this bugtrag mailing list, technique to decrypt
HTTP internet password inside names.nsf. Just do searching it ...

Cheers,

Greetings fellow pen-testers,

Does anyone know if the Lotus Notes "Internet Password" allows bruteforce
attacks over the network?

Trying to understand if lockouts are enforced by default.

I'd appreciate any other background references for the lotus notes internet
password as well.

Regards,
