you should be aware of the version status of the software you run, and
either get on your vendor / products mailing list, or search ( Google ) for
possible issues with your particular web-app / software.

vBulliten has been plauged by flaws for quite sometime, and frankly I cant
understand how you could not have discovered the cause of your issue with a
simple search.
