You've deleted a file that was open. either reboot or kill the task that
had it open.
 
next time, the best thing to do is either run fuser or lsof and see if
the file is open or just

Hello admins,
 
At HP-UX 11.00 I have removed a 2 GB file without seen that space
increasing the available free space in the filesystem.
 
The filesystem type is hfs and I have used bdf to check their size and
space availability.
 
The same thing has happened in another filesystem.
 
I've done a successful umount and fsck just to see that nothing has
changed.
 
Any help would be appreciated.
