Do a vgdisplay of your volume group and check "Max PV" vs "Current PV".
Have you exceeded the number of physical volumes configurable in the
volume group?

As you see, this is the same disk, add only the first one, the other
will be the alternate link into the VG. PV links will do the rest ..

Hello:
We have a SG cluster and one of the applications volume groups needs
additional disk. After the EMC DMX disk were added and connected to the
host we tried to extend the volume group to add the new disk, with
alternate link and get an error message "vgextend too many links"
vgextend /dev/vgname /dev/dsk/c10t3d6 /dev/dsk/11t3d6 (same disk
with multi. paths)
Any help would be appreciated.
