Thanks to all that replied. The majority of the response said you should turn off "Use Bad Block Relocation" and turn on "Use Contiguous Allocation". There was also a mention of turning off "MCR - Mirror consistency recovery". Once again thanks to all.

I am creating a logical volume to be used as additional swap space since we will be adding more memory to our systems HP-UX 11.11. I thought I read something about turning off "Use Bad Block Relocation" and turning on "Use Contiguous Allocation". Do I really need to change these setting?
