Serviceguard should not behave this way. It also depends on what kind of
a failover has happened. If the failover is due to a LAN failure, then
definitely the NIC of primary server is not available and you will not
be able to login.
If it is not due to a LAN failure and you are not able to login, then
there could be something else wrong.
If the failover is due to dead HB detection and cluster reformation,
then the primary server will do a TOC and you will not be able to login
to the server. While console is always available as long as power is
available.

hpux 11 servers with service guard.
The question when failed over to the stanby server the only way to login
to the primary server is through the console.
Can that be changed ? Why does the primary server block me from
logging on a regular session ?
