Admins,
I have a strange problem in one of the HP server running HPUX 11.11. This
is related to a print scheduler issue.
The lp scheduler is running fine. The "ps -ef |grep lp" shows lpsched is
running ok.
When i issue "lpstat -r" it shows scheduler running.
The problem is when i issue "lpshut" i am getting the message "scheduler
not running", ps command still shows lpsched process running.
The problem is not with the SCHEDLOCK and FIFO files too. When i kill the
process these files removed automatically from /var/spool/lp, which is the
normal behaviour.
Also when i add a print queue after killing the spooler, immediately after
adding the printqueue i am getting a message "cannot accept print queue".
Have anyone experienced this? if so require your help to fix this.
Thanks & Regards
