[HPADM] INIT: Command is respawning too rapidly.

Hi Admins,

I see the following messages on the console of my server (Model: N4000, OS: HP-UX 11.11):

INIT: Command is respawning too rapidly.
Will try again in 5 minutes.
Check for possible errors.
id: xd "/opt/hpxt/enware2/xdm/xdm -nodaemon -config /opt/hpxt/enware2/xdm/xdm-config < /dev/null > /dev/null 2>&1"

The messages come repeatedly every 5 minutes or so. I found no related message/error in syslog.
Last line of the inittab file looks like this:
xd:234:respawn:/opt/hpxt/enware2/xdm/xdm -nodaemon -config /opt/hpxt/enware2/xdm/xdm-config < /dev/null > /dev/null 2>&1

Can anybody tell me what's wrong with my server, and how to fix it?
