[HPADM] virtual tape for free??

Is there a way to take a process on hpux that expects to write to
tape, and direct it to disk without changing it?
I'm not looking for a full virtual implementation, just a way to
fake-out an interbase database reorg process that I'd rather
send to disk than tape.

Any ideas?
