Hello,

I am on a HP-UX machine

nap11i# hostname
nap11i

when I do

#telnet nap11i
nap11i: Unknown host

/etc/hosts has entry for nap11i.

for that matter any of the entry in /etc/hosts I am not able to telnet by server name. I don't have NIS installed.

One machine which is similar to this, has same /etc/hosts file and it is able to do telnet on all machines.

Do you guys have any clue?

Prashun
