Hi again,

I'm in Multi-BCV with tree differents copies of my STD backuped to 3 BCV as
showed later.
I can not use (I suppose) to restore DG. I need only a symmir commande to
copie the BCV 0690 to the STD 088C.

Standard (STD) Devices (1):
        {
        --------------------------------------------------------------------
                                                      Sym Cap
        LdevName PdevName Dev Att. Sts (MB)
        --------------------------------------------------------------------
        c6t8d4 /dev/rdsk/c10t8d4 088C (M) RW 68400
        }

    BCV Devices Locally-associated (3):
        {
        --------------------------------------------------------------------
                                                      Sym Cap
        LdevName PdevName Dev Att. Sts (MB)
        --------------------------------------------------------------------
        c6t8d1 /dev/rdsk/c10t8d1 0688 (M) RW 68400
        c6t8d2 /dev/rdsk/c10t8d2 068C (M) RW 68400
        c6t8d3 /dev/rdsk/c10t8d3 0690 (M) RW 68400

Look at 'symmir -restore'. You can invoke this for an entire DG or specific
volumes within. Depending on your version of symcli, check out the
'protect' option also.

Subject: [HPADM] SAN

Hi admins,

I have a DG(test) which is en mode Multi BCV, the synchronization between
STD and BCV
is done by the shell commandes as you see (backup STD on BCV)

Back_Std_En_BCV()
{
symmir establish c6t8d4 BCV dev 068C
dg_wait_synchro test
symmir split
vgchgid /dev/rdsk/c6t8d2
vgimport -v /dev/bcv_68C /dev/dsk/c6t8d2
vgchange -a y /dev/bcv_68C
fsck -F vxfs -y /dev/bcv_68C/lvol1
mkdir -p /backup/Application/Bcv_68C/lvol1
mount /dev/bcv_68C/lvol1 /backup/Application/Bcv_68C/lvol1
}

These way the BCV is the copie of my STD. How can I restore the BCV on STD ?

Thanks

Cordialement(Best regards)
