I don't see where you activated the volume group.

You need vgchange -a y /dev/bcv_690

- Don

Hi admins,

I could associate 3 BCV to the STD and the synchronization is succes Now I'm
trying to associate the BCV 690 to the bcv_699 by
1: mkdir /dev/bcv_699
2: mknod /dev/bcv_699/group c 64 0x150000
3: vgchgid /dev/rdsk/c6t8d3
4: vgimport -v /dev/bcv_690 /dev/rdsk/c6t8d3 Ok vg is created with the exact
lvol

When I do
fsck -F vxfs -y /dev/bcv_690/lvol1
vxfs fsck: Cannot open /dev/bcv_690/lvol1: No such device or address file
system check failure, aborting ...

Can you please advise me where I'm wrong ================= Here the out put
of symmir query -multi ===============================

Are you using EMC disks, or what SAN are you using? Its different for each.
Is that a device group you have setup?

I've attached my 'cheat sheet' for creating device groups, adding std luns
and bcv luns, for EMC. Note you need Timefinder / SYMAPI installed.
Hopefully it's what you're after.
