I have found no issue/performance problem with mirroring the root disks
using Mirrordisk/UX. I even mirror a non-root volume group using
Mirrordisk/UX between to SAN disk arrays (350GB) without issue.

Hello,
I wonder what people's experiences are with this Mirrordisk product ? I
plan to
acquire a new RX4640 (Itanium) with 2x36 GB disk + a RAID-array with a
TB of
disks.
My plan is to install the OS etc. on one of the small, internal 36
GB-disk and
'mirror' it onto the other disk for redundancy. However, i am worried
about the
performance of this setup. Do I have to ???
