Admins,
Am in an environment of D, K, L and N series servers that are running 11.0 or 11.11.
We want to set the network cards to always be 100FD manual. I know how to set this dynamically while the machine is up with a 'lanadmin' command. We also know that in order for the setting to stick after a reboot, that we must edit a file in /etc/rc.config.d, for example, hpbtlanconf or hpbase100conf or hpetherconf (for example). We know the entries to make, i.e., 'HP_BTLAN_SPEED[1]=100FD'.
The question is, how do we know which file in /etc/rc.config.d to edit? I understand that the choice is hardware dependent. If this is so, would the output of an 'ioscan' or a 'netstat' be enough to deduce the name of the file that should be edited? Thanks.
