This is true; however, only eight of these slots are actually used by the
system. Memory DIMMS are installed in pairs in the following order:
0a/0b, 1A/1B, 2A/2B, 3A/3B.
The L1000 will not function with DIMMS loaded in slots 4A/B - 7A/B.
