Helen,
This is definitely a hardware problem.
Based on "high voltage DC power", I'd start by calling HP.
If I wanted to investigate independently, I'd look at the power supplies
and fans, and make sure none of them have fault lights on, but I really
think the call to HP is the best answer since, if it is a burnt power
supply, they're going to have to fix it anyway.
