If you are in a MC/SG env you probably have AUTO_VG_ACTIVATE=0 set in
/etc/lvmrc

Take a look at the /etc/lvmrc file so see how to specify which non vg00
VGs get activated on startup.

Greetings. Have a K460 that is running 11.0 and volume manager. It is
also
part of a cluster. Only the root vg is mirrored. For the most part,
the
machine boots and reboots fine. However, there is one file system, the
ONLY
file system on vg02, that does not mount on bootup. It is in
/etc/fstab, but
on bootup, a message gets displayed on the screen that the file system
failed to mount. Trying to mount the filesystem manually fails, but
also
produces a message that vg02 is not active. Running a vgcfgrestore and
then
a vgchange on vg02 does reactivate the volome group and then it can be
mounted. I am hoping that I can get some advice as to what to check
into as
to why vg02 is not activating on a system boot. A pvdisplay and a
vgdisplay
seems to show good results, i.e., nothing is stale.
