[HPADM] NIS and Password Aging

OK, so I have an NIS server using /etc/shadow and in there you see stuff
like this:

        craigj:encryptedpw:12669:7:60:10:60::

Now, if I attempt to change my password a second time today, the request
will be denied because the password hasn't "aged" sufficiently (7 days?).
So why does that work but after 60 days nothing happens? Passwords never
expire.

Does NIS not support aging? If it doesn't, why do I see the problem
changing the password repetitively?

All of my systems have in nsswitch.conf:

        passwd: files nis
