[HPADM] ioscan instance numbers and ServiceGuard

Hi all me again.

Seeing as everyone was so quick with my last problem, here's another one.

I have two HP's connected via 2 HBA's (each) to a SAN fabric disk array.

If I run ioscan -fnC disk on one server it gives a different disk id to LUN
relationship
than it does on the other server.

E.g.

server A
========
disk 4 0/0/4/0/0.1.24.255.0.0.0 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP
OPEN-E-CVS
                            /dev/dsk/c8t0d0 /dev/rdsk/c8t0d0

Server B
========
disk 3 0/0/4/0/0.1.24.0.0.0.0 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP
OPEN-E
                            /dev/dsk/c8t0d0 /dev/rdsk/c8t0d0

It just happens that these two LUNS are of a different type so it's clear
that they are different.
For ServiceGuard purposes I want a given disk id (e.g. in this case c8t0d0)
to point to the same LUN
which ever machine I am looking from.

Is there a supported method of correcting this or is it a case of fiddling
about with ioinit and ioconfig?
Is there anything that can be changed at the SAN level to change this or
even at the HBA level?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Nick Stocker.
