Thanks to Mark Ahrendt, Justin Willoughby, and Thomas Leber. All said
Mirror-UX is necessary to do any mirroring of LVM. Mark mentioned a caveat
that VxVM includes Mirror-UX free on 11i--but not LVM.

Is Mirror-UX necessary to mirror a root disk, or can it be done without it?
I know Mirror-UX has a lot of functionality, but I don't know if it's
necessary for performing a simple mirror.
