My problem turned out to be that my ECC/SDR is too OLD to do operations on
NON-CONTIGUOUS MetaVolumes.
We run ECC/SDR 4.3.4 and ESN Manager 2.2.
I had problem with ESN Manager too. It just couldn't see the MV that was
bigger than 100 GB.
I had to do both the presentation and the volume access with commands:
symconfigure
symmask

we have the same problem using ECC 5.1.2 and WideSky 5.3.
For some reasons the changes done on the Meta devices are not immediately
reflected into ECC (although they are shown correctly). We need to wait
several hours (2-3) before we can perform any manipulations on those
devices.

form meta from device 035, config = striped;
add dev 58 to meta 35;
add dev 36 to meta 35;
And now I'm trying to present the MV to an FA with ECC/SDR, and it gives me
the error message above.
Am I missing something?
