Hi
I am trying to read a DDS tape without restoring.
I am using the command frecover -Nxv
it gives me the following error message
hptest:/>> frecover -Nxv -f /dev/rmt/0m
frecover(5419): checksum on volume header is incorrect.
frecover(5420): not an fbackup volume; magic value is incorrect
frecover(5412): Do you wish to try to salvage this volume? (^[yY]/^[nN])
The same tape I can read through SAM and restore also through SAM.
Please advise on this as I need to verify my tapes.
Best regards,
Omar
