Hi Gurus,
We would like to commit those old patches on our system to free up some
spaces on /var. However, the system was setup in such a way that those old
patches was moved to another FS (e.g. /var/adm/sw/old_patch).
1. Now we want to commit them, is it easy as move one by one those patches
on /var/adm/sw/old_patch and put it on /var/adm/sw/save?
2. What about those patches on /var/adm/sw/products? Is it necessary to
commit them? If so, same procedure as below?
# swmodify -x patch_commit=true <PATCH NAME>
3. HP claimed that committing patches on system means we cannot rollback the
patch since that patch occupying space on /var will be remove. Would backup
will not be a fallback? Let me know your ideas and suggestions.
Regards & Thanks,
Ruby Ann Domalanta
