[HPADM] sar -d question....

Folks,

I have an N4000 server attached to a VA7100 with 15 73GB disk. The VA has redundant controllers and is attached via fiber. No one is complaining about slowness or performance issues (which is a good thing), however I have some questions about the sar -d output. I have heard that if the avwait time is more then double the avserv time, then there is some I/O contention happening. Is this true? Also, this system was set up prior to my arrival here. All the c9txdx disks are on my VA, and each has an alternate link on c11txdx. I would have alternated the primary disks, just for load balancing, so could that be the reason I'm seeing some issues? Thanks in advance....
