I have HP-UX Secure Shell A.03.50.000 installed on an 11i system. Seems to
work fine with a couple of major exceptions. It drops core when attempting
to connect to a FreeBSD 4.8-STABLE machine or a FreeBSD 5.1-CURRENT
system. It can be made to work if ssh uses protocol 1 (ie ssh -1 x@y).
It can connect to a FreeBSD 4.6-STABLE machine just fine. It can connect
to any of the other systems I've tried (other HP-UX and AIX systems).
The 4.8 and 5.1 systems can connect to the 11i system just fine - problem
is only when the 11i system is the originator.
ssh -V reports the following:
HP-UX 11i
OpenSSH_3.5p1, SSH protocols 1.5/2.0, OpenSSL 0x0090609f
FBSD 4.6
OpenSSH_3.5p1, SSH protocols 1.5/2.0, OpenSSL 0x0090607f
FBSD 4.8
OpenSSH_3.5p1 FreeBSD-20030201, SSH protocols 1.5/2.0, OpenSSL 0x0090701f
FBSD 5.1
OpenSSH_3.6.1p1 FreeBSD-20030423, SSH protocols 1.5/2.0, OpenSSL 0x0090701f
The culprit, as a first guess, might be the version of OpenSSL.
Is anyone else seeing similar problems/found a work around?
