[HPADM] /etc/profile running problem

Hi All,
I am facing one problem in profile running. I have added few alias in the /etc/profile file. When i connect through telnet to system, then all these aliases work. But when i use the x-windows client (X-manager) for sytem session, the profile does not run. We have to run it manually to make aliases effective.

Does the /etc/profile does not run in x-windows?
