[HPADM] [HPADMIN] last fails with coredump

Dear Admins,
        I have a surprizing problem that manifested itself right after the
reboot: "last" command fails with "memory fault(coredump)" message. What
could be the problem, how to fix it? "who" works just fine. L2000 HP-UX
11.0.
