[HPADM] syslog forwarding

I am trying to have all syslog msgs forwarded from one system to
another (both hpux).
In /etc/syslog.conf, I have:

  @(#) $Revision: 74.1 $
#
# syslogd configuration file.
#
# See syslogd(1M) for information about the format of this file.
#
mail.debug /var/adm/syslog/mail.log
*.info;mail.none /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log
*.alert /dev/console
*.alert root
*.emerg *
*.info;mail.none @xxx
*.alert @xxx
*.emerg @xxx

I am getting some I/O errors, that show up like:

>May 30 23:31:44 prod2 vmunix: SCSI: Unexpected Disconnect -- lbolt:
>8415618, dev: cd033000, io_id: 307c7ba
>May 30 23:31:44 prod2 vmunix:
>May 30 23:31:44 prod2 vmunix: SCSI: Unexpected Disconnect -- lbolt:
>8416501, dev: cd033000, io_id: 307c7be
>May 30 23:31:44 prod2 vmunix: SCSI TAPE: dev = 0xcd033000 I/O error
>during close

~

Any idea why those msgs are NOT being forwarded to host xxx?

thanks.
