You are the proud admin of a V2600 class server with 12 550MHz CPUs and 16
GB RAM spread across four memory carriers. It would appear that your boot
disks are external to the server and would be housed in the HDV10 disk
housing.
The V series does support internal disks, however HP will configure these
servies in a high availability configuration by placing the boot disks in an
external housing. Otherwise, due to the design of the V series, a disk
failure would require an outage to repair and partial disassembly of the
server.
I would guess that you have other disks connected via fiber or SCSI cards
for your application(s) and/or data.

Hi,
You got a V2600 server from HP, former build by convex. You have 12
cpu's 550 MHz and 16 GB Memory. The HVD10 is an Enclosure for 10 scsi
disks , that you can scsi attach to the server. You will probably need a
pci scsi controler for the v-class server. V2600 was the high end server
class hp had before superdome came out.
I worked with the v-class server, so if you need more information, i
could look for a more detailed description.
