/var/preserve is where copies of files are kept that are being edited
with vi when a connection is lost for some reason. You can satrt vi with
a switch to read the files in to recover as much of your work as
possible. You should usually be able to delete the files unless there is
anything in there you need.

        Subject: [HPADM] Question on /var/preserve

I have a few big files in the /var/preserve directory. I am not sure
what they are they are not viewable. They are all the same with a few
numbers different at the end. Below is an example of the file. Any
help would be appreciated. Can I remove these or what are they from or
used for?

File name = Exaaa00362

Thank You
Larry
