[HPADM] RE: Hello Admins

Hello Admins,

My question was how could I increase my shared memory in the unix kernel?
The problem was not really with my Unix, but it was with Sybase ASE 11.9
(precisely ASE tuning problem) which
required me to step my ASE memory and tune up my total user connections.
This I could only do
if I shared enough mem in the kernel.

So now with my kernel shhmax value at 200MB I could increase my ASE total
physical mem from 60MB
to 180MB that has improved perfomance and my connection time outs are dying
away on ASE.

Thanks again to all those who responded.
