I have an HP RAID 4Si card attached to an HP DS2300 JBOD subsystem. The
DS2300 is running in "split bus" mode, so that a maximum of 7 drives can be
seen from either of the two SCSI busses (the unit can hold up to 14 drives).
This 4Si card has four VHDCI SCSI channels/connectors crammed onto the card.
I chose two that were a bit apart (above and below) for ease of
connection/disconnection.
Now, looking at it with SAM and ioscan, I see the two RAID LUN's I
configured at 0/12/0/1.0.0.0 and 0/12/0/1.0.0.1, /dev/rdsk/c4t0d0 and
/dev/rdsk/c4t0d1 respectively. Now my question is, why are they showing up
on the same controller (c4)? I would think that each of these Ultra 160
SCSI channels would be uniquely identified by the "c" parameter.
Any ideas? It appears the ITRC site is down. Thanks.
Craig
