Hello,

I did get several reactions and several solutions. Finaly I did find
the following technical document:
http://openview.hp.com/sso/ecare/getsupportdoc?docid=OV-EN006831

The error I get was exact the same only the problem description was a
bit different.
I have re-init all the tapes in new media pools and donīt have problems
any more until now.

Thanks to all who did give there support.

attached mail follows:

Thanks already for the reactions.

In my holiday time they have already changed the picker and drive head.
Yesterday Iīve been testing the picker and drive with the MC command,
everything seems to work okay?

mc -p /dev/robot -s S7 -d D1 changed the tape to the drive from slot 7
mc -p /dev/robot -s D1 -d S7 changed the tape back.

mc -p /dev/robot -s I1 -d D1 changed the cleaningtape in mailslot (is
slot 20) tot the drive , backwards went also okay.

mc -p /dev/robot -r I gives that barcode tape CLN960 is in.

Going from the previous tests I should say the picker is working
correctly.

The only thing I can see and donīt now why it is happening is then when
the scheduled or small test backup is to run. He always first goes to
the mailslot (slot 20 is cleaningtape) instead of going directly to S7
where the backup tape is. This also happens when I remove the cleaning
tape from the mailslot. All backups previeous correct go directly to
the right slot.

The other thing I see is when I use HTML management page from the robot
and go to menu: Operations -> Load media, the following comment is
visable:
Note: Barcode label information is not available for tapes in
mailslots.

Select media pulldown on the same page gives the to inserted tapes with
ther barcode. and the mailslot with following info: Mailslot1 <No
Barcode>
