Hi,
I have a D270 system with FWD SCSI and a broken D380/2 system ( looks like a
problem with the Core I/O board ) and wanted to upgrade the D270 to a D380.
As far as I knew the only difference between a D2x0 with FWD and a D3x0
system was the amount of hot swappable disks which can be placed in the
hotswap bay.
I took out the processor board and the hotswap bay and placed them in the
D270.
The system is running fine, I can use 5 disks in it but the LCD display
tells me it is a D280.
Is there some kind of trick to change this in D380 or is this information
provided by the Core I/O board ?
Best regards,
