[HPADM] Pax single file restore to relative path

I prepared the tar archive with following two files(with absolute path)
/etc/passwd & /etc/group (tar -cvf test.tar /etc/passwd /etc/group)
I want to extract only passwd file to other location say tmp.
How to do this.
Whole restore can be done - pax -rv -s '/^\///' -f test.tar

But how extract just passwd.

Thanks in Advance. Will summarize.
