Hi,
The problem was: the OMNIBACK postexec-job was running at the same
time as a other process, who shuld start a save while after the backup has
finished.
The replay from Philip Ladouceur "you may have a lock session hanging"
was very close.

Hallo,
After backup of server 'HP-APP' the Oracle subsystem does not start
automatically since several days ..
Involved Modules: HP-UX 10.20 , Oracle 7.3.3 and OMNIMACK II (WinNT)
I checked the following logfiles:
hp-app:/usr/oracle7.3.3/console.out
hp-app:/usr/oracle7.3.3/console.err
hp-app:/var/opt/omni/log/debug.log
/omni/log/RDS.log (I got a newer file only with no errors)
What can I do ?
