  • The century value in the BIOS can be manually set to 2000.
  • The BIOS will report the correct date after the rollover from 1999 to 2000.
  • The years 2000 and 2004 are properly recognized as leap years, and 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2005 are not.
  • The RTC will update the century value when the transition from 1999 to 2000 occurs.

  • Consolidated Reporting
  • This feature provides a comprehensive overview for organizations with many machines to test. The test results for every PC are appended to a report file on the test diskette. The report can be imported into a variety of applications or into the pre-built MS Access database which ships with the Commercial Edition of Ontrack Y2K Advisor. This database includes a series of standard reports or users can create their own custom reports.
PC Inventory
As part of the testing process, the Commercial version of Ontrack Y2K Advisor will create an inventory for each PC with information about the following:
