 NFR NID-200 is an intrusion detection system that monitors networks and responds when suspicious activity, such as known attacks, misuse, abuse and anomalies, is detected. It provides a very high rate of attack detection, through protocol and signature analysis and full packet reassembly. The system is highly customizable; false positives are reduced through easy modification of existing signatures and detection of organization-specific attacks can be enabled through the addition of new signatures. Delivered as an appliance, NFR NID-200 provides a tamper-proof system that is fast to install and has low administration overheads. NFR’s Rapid Response Team (NFR RRT) continuously provides new and updated signatures in response to new attacks. It also provides signature customization services. An NFR NID-200 system can comprise a single sensor or multiple sensors in a centrally managed, distributed environment using NFR Central Management Server (NFR CMS). Thi! s allows NFR NID to scale to suit any size and type of organization
