Description:

With RSA SecurID strong authentication
you can be sure of the identity of employees, partners and customers
accessing sensitive information on your network, just as a bankcard
allows customers to access cash through automated teller machines.
RSA SecurID uses two-factor authentication to control access to
sensitive information. Two factor authentication requires users
to provide not just a single factor of ID such as a password or
PIN, but also a second factor in the form of a code generated by
an RSA SecurID authenticator. This simple method based "on
someting you know and something you have" provides a much more
reliable level of authentication than reusable passwords. The user
carries an RSA SecurID authenticator, which generates a one-time
passcode every sixty seconds. This combination of user PIN and current
authenticator code is valid only for that particular user at that
one moment in time. The RSA ACE/Server security software protecting
the network takes just seconds to verify the code and grant access
to users. SecurID is used in the majority of Fortunes Global 100,
ranging from consumer Internet stock trading, to banking, government,
maufacturing, high technology, medical applications and more.
