IPCheck Server Monitor - Up-/Downtime Monitoring Tool

As an increasing number of businesses depend on their websites, the reliability of the webhost has become critical. If a website is offline, pages are unobtainable, or forms and scripts are not working, the webmaster needs to know about it as quickly as possible.

IPCheck offers a range of features that allow the webmaster to constantly check and monitor their servers, with more thoroughness than a mere PING function

IPCheck monitors one or more servers. It alerts webmasters if a webserver is not working correctly because a web service is down, CGI scripts return errors or a SQL server is not reachable. IPCheck analyzes the results - even the HTML code - and notifies the administrator when problems are identified. Additionally it can constantly monitor servers by attempting to connect through a PING command or through a specific port (ICMP-Ping, e.g. HTTP=80, SMTP=25).

Features:

  1. Features for monitoring servers: To check every aspect of a webserver IPCheck offers several possibilities to watch the machine:
    1. Run a simple PING command
    2. Try to connect to a service on a specific port (e.g. HTTP=80)
    3. Send a HTTP-Request, analyze result codes and page contents
  2. Features for notifying: As soon as IPCheck notices a change in your networks status, several notification mechanisms can be launched:
    1. Write a logfile entry, Show a popup-window on the screen, Issue a NET SEND Command
    2. Execute any EXE-File or BATCH-File, Play a sound
    3. Send a SMTP-Mail with the problem's data, Reboot the machine
  3. Features for analyzing: All results are logged into a ASCII-logfile which can be analyzed:
    1. Show all errors for this server in the logfile, Show a graph of all request times for several days
