To address the needs of departmental
server systems, Spectra Logic offers the Spectra 2000 automated
tape library. Equipped with industry-leading AIT drive technology,
the Spectra 2000, which utilizes Spectra Logic’s TreeFrog architecture,
provides a low-cost, entry-level backup and storage solution for
today’s distributed networks and servers. Configured with either
one or two tape drives, the Spectra 2000 has a 15- or 30-tape cartridge
capacity. When equipped with AIT-2 tape drive technology, the capacity
is 1.5 Terabytes native (3.9 TB compressed). The TreeFrog architecture
features an integrated picker, uni-body robotic chassis, and various
types of interfaces, including SCSI (Single-Ended, HVD and LVD)
and Fibre Channel.
