VASCO's Digipass 100 smartcard supports standards-based secure access to information and transactions for both the Internet and Dial-In applications. Supporting PKI and stored value applications, the Digipass 100 uses a RSA Private Key coupled with an X.509 certificate to authenticate users pointing their browsers to a web server that is using SSL 3.0 and requesting client authentication.

For Dial-in applications the DP 100 uses a DES Private Key to authenticate to our VACMan security server using RADIUS challenge/response scheme. Both DES and RSA keys can be combined on one card. The DP 100 C/R scheme issues a challenge from the host server and the RSA key pair is generated from the card, not the desktop.
