Overland Data is the leading
independent manufacturer of tape libraries in the under 40 cartridges
category, with over 26 percent of the market, and has now won an
impressive 15 major product awards and counting. The company's standard
of excellence is defined by the LibraryXpress, a highly scalable
storage system designed for automation applications requiring from
50GB to over 3TB for network storage, which eliminates the physical
limitations of conventional tape library solutions. The SmartScale
Storage architecture allows customers to start with a LXB base module
containing one or two DLTtape drives and 10 cartridges, generating
an automated storage capacity of up to 700GB and a data rate of
up to 72GB/hour. Capacity and performance can then be scaled upward
based on individual customer requirements to create an ultimate
multi-terabyte automated storage solution. The ratio of tape drives
to cartridges can be balanced to achieve the optimal configuration
based on the customer's individual capacity, performance and budget
requirements. All LibraryXpress products come with a unique customer
service and protection program, Overland's GUTS (Guaranteed Up Time
Service) warranty. Under this program, Overland warrants that the
LibraryXpress will deliver a minimum of 99 percent uptime reliability
with 100 percent restore functionality for the first three years
of ownership. If the unit fails to meet the standard of up and running
99 percent of the time, Overland will extend the warranty for an
additional year. If a tape written on the unit cannot be restored,
Overland will offer to take back the library for a full refund.
