Cisco NetSonar Vulnerability
Scanner and Network Mapping System is the first scanning product
to incorporate state-of-the-art security vulnerability scanning,
thorough and flexible data analysis, an intuitive user interface,
and flexible licensing. Intended for network administrators in enterprise
environments and network security consultants alike, NetSonar searches
the depths of a network for vulnerabilities. It quickly maps out
all systems on a network,their operating systems and services, and
their associated potential vulnerabilities. Finally, it probes to
confirm vulnerabilities, gathering more detailed information and
ensuring data accuracy. By presenting a number of different customized
formats, from graphics to reports, to view the data, NetSonar enables
users to gain unique insights into the security state of the network.
NetSonar even identifies operating systems that are not Year 2000-compliant.
