HARDWALL, a revolutionary new
technology for PC, network and Internet security provides comprehensive
hardware-level protection against hackers, illegal access, viruses
and data corruption. Connected between the PC's hard disk and motherboard,
Hardwall technology's independent microprocessor, which is immune
from attack by hackers or virus, uniquely monitors all hard disk
drive activity and protects against unauthorised writes and accesses.
Hardwall technology provides unparalleled system protection by creating impenetrable "hard firewalls" around user-selected partitions, only one of which is active at any time. As such, any hacker or virus invasion is limited to one "active partition" only. This approach effectively prevents infection or damage outside this isolated area, as it denies hacker access elsewhere on the network to which the particular hacked PC is attached. Hardwall technology also features a unique WMR (Write Many Recoverable) technology which ensures that if information in the primary boot partition (eg boot sector, OS, application software, system setup, system configuration) is infected by a virus, or is intentionally or accidentally corrupted, the data can be completely restored by simply restarting the computer. Specifically, Hardwall re-routes changes to the system files to a "scratch" area on the disk, permitting the changes to take effect transparently to the user, but being wiped clear on power-down. This design approach preserves the integrity of the system files, a critical concern of all network administrators. |
