The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

Boolean, a. also Boolian.
Of or pertaining to the work of George Boole (1815 - 1864), English mathematician and logician; Boolean algebra, an abstract system of postulates and symbols applicable to problems in logic and the manipulation of sets. Boolean operation, an operation depending on the application of the rules of Boolean algebra. By extension, any operation in which the operands and results take either one of two values or states, i.e. any logical operation on single binary digits.
