Hello.

Your concerns re: computer viruses are laudable. However, this particular
virus warning is a hoax. In fact, most virus warnings you recieve via email
on the internet these days are in acuality somone's practical joke chain
letter.

You can usually spot them by their wild warnings, their claim that some
impressionable source endorses the warning (in this case Microsoft, who
does very little in terms of internet virus protection and security),
their excessive use of CAPITAL LETTERS to get the point across, and a
lack of any sort of URL or other legitimate resource where you can double
check the warning

http://ciac.llnl.gov/ciac/CIACHoaxes.html

Is the url of the Computer Incident Advisory Council page documenting
internet hoaxes. The CAIC is one of the defacto leaders in internet
security these days, and is a reputable source of information. If you
scroll down this page, you'll see descriptions of Hoaxes, including the
"Win a Holiday" hoax and others you may have seen (the Disney giveaway
hoax is especially prevalent these days on the internet).

I suggest that the next time you receive a similar sounding message, you first
check it out at this page for validity.

thanks,
todd
