installp won't work with NFS mounted multi-volume CDs. It's OK if everything is on one disc, otherwise you need to mount them locally - which is not possible on a normal SP2 node - or download everything to a filesystem and NFS mount that.

Be sure to use (smitty) bffcreate, not simply copy everything off the CDs. There are packaging PTFs which you don't want, and their presence may interfere with things. bffcreate won't copy them.

I have copied it (ML10) on control workstation from CD1s and will be nfs mounting on spnode . coworker was telling me system never asked him for second /third CD. Should I copy all 3cd`s s in one big directory and nfs mount and load it from there ? smitty upadte_all..
