Traceroute the name_server?
Netstat -rn could tell you you have a route issue?

Subject: cannot start a telnet session to a node after mksysb installation [Virus checked]

                Hi,

I install a SP node with the own mksysb. After the installation it is not
possible to connect the node via telnet, rlogin. It is not possible to ping
                the node.
Only over the intern ethernel (en0) I can login. So I login and I check
something. When I'm on the node, so I can ping the adapter (en2). But when
I try to ping the nameserver or ask with nslookup I don't get a response.
The adapter is up, /etc/hosts, /etc/netsvc.conf, /etc/resolv.conf shows
                o.k.

                What can I do?

                Best regards,
                Frank Mueller
