SAN extension

I am trying to determine the best method for long distance SAN
extension(beyond the range of DWDM>20Km). Does anyone have any experience
with any of these vendors extending their AIX SAN over FCIP/SONET:

advo
akara (now cienna)
CNT (including inrange)
cisco
canoga perkins

I am also interested in any experience you might have in DWDM(long wave
fibre over leased/dark fibre).
